Princess

This is our friend Princess. She's definitely a lap cat and will give you lots of love. The boy human who had her can't keep her anymore. He's moving. He can't seem to find any humans who can keep her. She has special needs. She has severe food allergies and has to be on a special diet. She's an indoor only cat and needs to be in a one-cat home. She waited nearly a year with a rescue group before he adopted her and it saddens him to take her back. Princess lives in the Los Angeles area. We welcome any ideas on how to widen his search for a new home for her.

Vash

I came to this house about seven years ago. It was supposed to be a temporary thing for three months. But I'm still here. Do you think they forgot? Or maybe they just lost the calendar? I hope so.

In the mean time, I keep myself busy looking out the window, and sitting on the man human's desk giving him inspiration while he's working. I also give him massages, especially while he's on the phone.

Occasionally, I pose for a picture.

Tiger

I'm 12 1/2 years old now. I'm a BIG Boy. In fact, by human standards I'm a senior citizen and I still get no respect. These youngsters (Sachi and Miko), they think everyday is a play day. They jump over me when I'm sleeping and they chase me down the hall. Don't they know I'm an old guy. I hiss at them to put them in their place, but it doesn't last very long. What's the world coming to, when an old guy gets no respect. No respect.

I asked the humans to take a picture from my good side.

Sachi and Miko

We are the babies of the house. We are the foster kittens. The ladies at the adoption center are nice, but we really don't like being in a cage and have to put up with people poking and awing at us. We're hoping the humans will stop showing us for adoption and just decide to keep us.

We try to be good. We don't claw furniture. We did knock the mom human's vase down, but it was an accident. And the torn papers on the floor, well, we tried to hide and hoped she wouldn't notice. But she saw us with the tissue hanging from our mouths. Oops Guilty!

Stubby' s Memories

October 23, 2009

I've been looking down on my girl and watched her pick up my ashes. She's planting a memory garden in the back yard under her window where I made my nest before I decided I wanted to live in the house. I watched her pick out a pastel pink rose bush just for me.

Each of my humans had their favorite memory of me. The dad human called me his little moocher, because I would always beg for a sample of his dinner. The mom human called me her Ms. Stubbs because I would always cross my legs like a little lady. And my girl would call me her polite little baby because I would always knock at her bedroom door and wait to be invited in even if the door was ajar.

I can leave my humans with their memories now. Things seem to getting back to normal at least with my cat family. Tiger, my son, has stopped sniffing my carrier. Vash seems to be getting back to his normal routine of jumping into bed with the humans at night. And best of all the two foster kittens have started running and playing again.

October 5, 2009

This was a tough weekend for me and my humans. I was in such distress, I couldn't walk, I was having trouble breathing. My humans rushed me to emergency just before midnight. They put me in an oxygen tank hoping to save me. But I couldn't stay any longer and I left them shortly after midnight on Sunday.

I came into this little girl's life over 12 years ago when she was still doing chalk drawings on the patio. We knew we belonged to each other. We played together, we talked to each other, we made each other happy. I put her to bed every night and tried to be back before she woke up in the morning. She would pick me up and hold me close, and I would nuzzle her to let her know how special she was.

My girl is grown up now. And my purpose in this life is complete and she understands I had to leave. I will visit her from time to time to be in her heart and her memories. But she knows I will be with her always and she with me.

October 3, 2009

It's Stubby again. The picture below is not a very flattering one of me, but there's a good reason. My humans took me to the vet in mid August and they diagnosed me with cancer. My humans cried over me and even slept in the closet with me. They took me to another vet and apparently it's not cancer. After more antibiotics and steroid shots, I got better for a while. But I stopped eating again. So the humans took me back yesterday, and as if it wasn't bad enough they took me back again today, because I hurt my leg. Well, I'm scheduled to go back for X-rays on Tuesday to see what's going on the side of my jaw and to have a feeding tube put in because I've lost so much weight. Thank you to everyone who are sending good thoughts my way.

Introducing the Catline Crew

October 1, 2009

We are a crew of 5. Our names are Stubby, Tiger, Vash, Sachi and Miko.

I'm Stubby, the little tuxedo. I walked into this house over 12 years ago and gave birth to Tiger, the gray and white tabby, my only child. Vash, the white with black markings, came to us about 7 years ago when his owner couldn't keep him anymore. Sachi (the tabby-torti) and Miko (the calico) have been here only 4 months. Sachi was on her way to the pound when she arrived here and Miko survived a week in a garage without food and water. The humans call her the little miracle.
